Privacy of Information and securing IT applications are a priority in today’s networked world. Businesses are progressively dependent on ensuring confidentiality integrity and availability of information on a 24 x 7 basis. Any breach of security or confidentiality results in serious consequences and may even lead to complete loss of image and closure of business.

Dr Akshai Aggarwal from School of Computing, University of Windsor will share his experiences and research in the field of Securing IT Applications and maintaining privacy of information in systems. This talk will be useful for CIOs, CFOs, Business managers, software professionals, information system experts, users from various fields, Management Professionals and Students.

Dr. Akshai Aggarwal is a distinguished speaker who is recipient of many awards including the University of Windsor Alumni Award for Distinguished Contributions to University Teaching, 2006 and I.E.E.E. Millennium Medal. A member of many scientific committees, he is also on the editorial board of prestigious periodicals and has over 100 publications and papers including 3 books to his credit.  Before joining University of Windsor, Dr. Aggarwal was Professor and Head, Dept of Computer Science at Gujarat University for 11 years. Dr. Aggarwal was the Chairman of IEEE India Council for two years. He has been a Consultant to a number of large and medium scale enterprises
